Kentucky Job Outlook
Kentucky’s economy is slightly larger than the average state’s, with a gross state product of about $150 billion. The state’s economy is largely focused on agricultural production but also consists of industrial manufacturing, such as cars and trucks.
Kentucky administers eight four-year public universities, the most significant of which are the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville. Both of these universities are the major research institutions in the state. Sixteen two-year schools are also state-supported and are located throughout the state.
